Career Journey

The clearest view of any journey is always in hindsight.

Looking back, the path appears more deliberate than it ever felt at the time. Each chapter led to the next - some planned, many not. Together they shaped the experience, perspective and opportunities that followed.
01
EARLY CAREER

Harrop Engineering

It started here, in manufacturing and motorsport. What began as wanting to be near racing evolved into practical experience across assembly, inventory management and customer support for competitive programs where quality and reliability were expected rather than admired.
02
BUSINESS OWNERSHIP

Professional Motorsports

Managing Director
From there came Professional Motorsports, where running the business meant supplying specialist motorsport products and representing international brands. It meant pairing technical credibility with commercial responsibility, supplier relationships and customer support, and it was a first real education in business ownership.
03
FIRE PROTECTION

Lansdale Fire Services

Operations Manager
The move to Lansdale marked the entry into fire protection — on the distribution side, working with contractors, suppliers and customers across the supply chain.
It was the foundation the next three decades would be built on.
04
PRODUCT EVALUATION

Pacific Fire Technology

Operations to Management
Pacific Fire Technology added the technical layer: product evaluation, testing and performance assessment against industry standards, working alongside respected figures in the field. The discipline of evidence-based, objective evaluation learned here carried through everything that followed.
05
OPERATIONS

Globe Fire Sprinkler Australia

Director of Operations
That led to building the Australasian Distribution Centre from the ground up — operations, logistics, inventory and regional market development all under one role.
06
ASIA

Globe Asia Corporation

Executive Director/ Vice President, Asia Pacific
The work then expanded regionally, with responsibility for distributor development, manufacturing engagement and governance across diverse markets. It reinforced that trust and long-term thinking aren’t differentiators in international business — they’re the entry price.
07
GLOBAL MARKETS

Globe Fire Sprinkler Corporation

International Sales Director - later - Director, Customer Relations & Marketing
The role took on genuinely global dimensions, major accounts and distributor relationships spanning Asia-Pacific, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Every region, every market dynamic.
Being based at Corporate HQ and the manufacturing heart of the business made it something more than a posting: a full-circle moment, returning to where it all began, now with three decades of hard-won perspective to bring to it.
08
INNOVATION

FST Innovation

Global Development Manager
The most recent chapter was a deliberate shift toward product development and commercialisation — working with new technologies and intellectual property, and relearning that good ideas only matter once execution proves them out.
09
TODAY

Current Activities

Today, that combined experience shows up in independent advisory work, technical investigation and product liability matters, international business development, and initiatives including Orient Dragon and the Asia Fire Safety Confederation (AFSC). The thread running through all of it is the same one that started decades ago: helping people understand a situation clearly enough to know what to do next.
